Analytics & Quality Assurance
At first we apply internal analysis for your products, in order to guarantee quality assurance. In this case we revert to a broad base of standard methods. In addition, we cooperate with our accredited external partners to conduct the needed security analysis for your end products. As a customer service, we bring you in contact with the right partner for your analysis if necessary.
Internal analytical methods:
- Investigation of residual moisture content of precursors with the Karl-Fischer method
- Particle-size measurement with sieve-tower or air jet sieve (for solid substances), as well as with a laser-particle-sizer (for liquid substances)
- Measurement of organic and inorganic portion of substances
- Measurement of bulk density
- Visual inspection (color and flowability of end product)
- Microscopy (e.g. to determine structure and surface morphology of end product)
External security analysis:
- Determination of minimum ignition energy (with indication of particle size): The test is conducted to determine the minimum energy of an electrical spark that will result in ignition of a dust cloud under specified test conditions
- Determination of minimum ignition temperature dust- layer and cloud: The test is conducted to determine the minimum temperature of a hot surface that will result in ignition of a dust cloud under specified test conditions
- Determination of KST-value / dust explosion class: The KST-value delivers the maximum temporal pressure increase in case of an explosion
- Determination of explosion severity: The test is conducted to determine the explosion severity (maximum pressure and speed of the explosion) of a dust cloud under specified test conditions
- Hot-storage tests: Determines thermic properties of substances in drying chambers under predefined temperatures (intended inlet-temperature +20° C results in test range of temperature)
